The Workshop
La Nau is a Visual Arts Workshop located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Horta. With its light-filled 220m2 it offers a perfect and full equiped space to enjoy the artistic experience. Its spacious interior is quiet and calm and it's surrounded by a singular courtyard and modernist garden perfect to develop creativity and provide inspiration.
The space is divided into two large rooms: the main one is the the painting and drawing workshop and the secondary is the mosaic (Gaudi modernist or byzantine). In turn, we have a small exhibition hall, a library of Fine Arts and a small seating area for those who want to relax during the course of the activity.
La Nau
For more than 15 years La Nau has been a place to enjoy and understand the visual art, an educational project open to all who wish to discover the artistic lenguage, learn and share experiences. The center aims to enhance creativity and interaction between artists and, at the same time, work and experience through different visual languages.
Is also another of our aims, to meet students of other countries with the same pasion an interests in the artistic experience. The enjoyment of a creative process in situ is an unique experience that leaves a special footprint of the stay in Barcelona. Confident of our project, the neighborhood and the charm of our place we put it at the disposal of schools of fine arts from other parts of the world.
Location
La Nau is located in a 100years old house listed cataloged by the Barcelona local administration for the value of its mosaics. It is 8-10 min. far by taxi from emblematic modernist monuments such as the Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell (Antonio Gaudi) and the Sant Pau Hospital (Lluis Domenech i Muntaner), which form an interesting triangle to visit in less than 3 km radius) .
At the epicenter of these three monumental references there is Turó de la Rovira, a small hill with a panoramic view of the incomparable city. From its top one can understand the city as an urban circular structure settled between sea and mountains. Few European cities have this epicenter of easy access that offers a vision of the urban concept so global and so pretty.
A highly recommended visit. http://goo.gl/zWOVO5
